Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Saphyr. It applies to everyone using the platform, including sandbox users with no account. It exists mainly to protect other users' designs and to keep the service running well for everyone.

1. Respect Other People's Designs

Jewellery CAD is intellectual property and often commercially sensitive. You must not:

Access to view a model is not permission to manufacture it.

2. Fair Use of the Platform

You must not:

Storage allowances are for your own working library. They are not general-purpose file hosting.

3. Prohibited Content

You must not use Saphyr to store, share or transmit material that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that contains malware. You must not use the platform to harass anyone or to misrepresent whose work a design is.

4. Client Data

Where you store client names, contact details or order information, you are responsible for handling that information lawfully, including under Australian privacy law where it applies to your business. Do not upload personal information you have no legitimate reason to hold.

5. Shared and Published Collections

If you publish a collection or grant another jeweller access, you are responsible for having the rights to do so. If you subscribe to another party's collection, your use is limited to what that party permits.

6. Reporting

If you believe someone is using Saphyr to infringe your designs, or is otherwise breaching this policy, contact support@saphyr.com.au with enough detail for us to identify the material. We investigate reports of design infringement seriously.

7. Enforcement

Where this policy is breached we may, depending on severity, contact you, restrict features, suspend access, or terminate the account. Serious or repeated breaches — particularly systematic copying of other users' designs — will result in termination without refund. Where conduct is unlawful we may report it.

We will usually contact you first, but may act immediately where there is a risk to other users' intellectual property or to the platform.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform develops. The current version always applies.
